Hummus

vegetarian chickpeas tahini

Ingredients

  • 1 can of Chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp Tahini
  • 1 clove of Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil (add more if needed)
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1tsp Salt (add more if needed)
  • a pinch of Cumin (more if desired)
  • Optional additions; 2 tbsp pickled jalapeno, 1-2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Optional toppings; pomagranite seeds, jalapeno slices, roasted chickpeas

Directions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a mixer and blend until smooth, adding more salt, pepper, or lemon juice to taste.
  2. Add more olive oil to make the hummus more smooth.
  3. If using, add one of the optional additions and blend until combined.
  4. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and toppings if desired.
  5. Store in the frige covered in cling film (make sure the cling film touches the hummus overwise a skin will form)
